La Negra

La Negra is a tropical den on on the pacific coast of Mexico, designed for relaxed people who want to have a tasty casual meal and a good time in a very eclectic atmosphere. Founded in the oldest house of the neighborhood, under an old tree, La Negra is frequently visited by families, retired people, couples, kids, tourist and local crowd; everyone part of this story since 2015.

About Us

We arrived to Bucerias in 2013, in love and full of hope, with the dream of living by the beach. We embarked on this adventure with a place called “Proud Beach Project” where we learned from scratch everything that service involved; cooking, bar tending, and also the less fun part, to deal with bureaucratic procedures… It was a great experience, however, things didn’t flow in our favor and we had to close after just over a year.

With the intention of continuing with our “Beach Club” we looked for beachfront locations for a couple of months, with no success. So we had to contemplate another option with the aim of finding a house where we could live, and at the same time, to put a small craft beer restaurant in our garage (while we found our dreams location).

Scouting the entire town on this mission, one hot afternoon in the spring of 2015, we were attracted by a beautiful shade of a tree and its street covered in leaves, so we approached closer to observe it. This tree belonged to a lovely little house, with a garage covered with an old palapa, and hidden in a corner of the blacksmith’s window, a small handmade sign with almost illegible ink was waiting for us: “For Rent” and a contact telephone number… Never we imagined what life had prepared for us!

We restore the house with the basics and moved into what would be our home for the next few months. We named it “La Negra” in honor to our Great Dane, the beach club pet who also lived here with us, along with our eldest daughter and the gray cat “Mara” (who until few years ago, was still asking for sashimi at the tables). This is how it all began, tight but with great faith in moving forward while Serena cooked and Hector was preparing the drinks.

We fell completely in love with our new life project and were soon inspired to add another member to the family. In this new period we received so much love from our visitors, always recommending us, that little by little, we were able to build a more efficient and welcoming place for them.

All learning have always come hand in hand with the team of incredible people who have been part of the family. We are infinitely grateful to the souls who have supported us during this journey for almost 10 years.

We invite you to enjoy a delicious, casual and unpretentious dinner.
At La Negra, each meal is prepared taking the maximum care of the freshness, as well as the quality of the ingredientes, most of them from local businesses & producers. We make each process as homemade as possible; with the purpose of providing you with food that truly nourish your body and soul.

Healthy Coexistence

We are a family based in respect and harmony. With the idea of promoting a friendly and safe environment (for both our visitors, and those of us who work here), we establish some guidelines of HEALTHY COEXISTENCE:

We prioritize being a SAFE SPACE FOR WOMEN. Our rooftop is designed for groups of women, or women with their adult companions (men/women, 18+).
We have ZERO TOLERANCE for sexual harassment, verbal abuse, or any disrespectful behavior.
We do not promote alcohol abuse.
We are a smoke-free and vape-free space.

Music for the Soul

Music brought us here and put us together as a family; that’s how important music is at La Negra. We choose carefully special world music sounds that our visitors can enjoy and remember. There will always be someone in charge of the music, to play some nice tunes that feed the soul and from time to time, motivate a good dance. ABOUT RESERVATIONS

Welcome to dine tasty and be happy at La Negra!

• You have 10-minute tolerance to arrive for your reservation; if you think you are running late, please call us to avoid assigning your table to someone else. [329-298-0420 / 329-275-3070]

• Reservations at 6:00 and 6:30pm will have a time limit of 2 hours for their experience. If you don’t want to have a time limit book after 8:00pm.

• Our ROOFTOP terrace is designed as a SAFE SPACE FOR WOMEN, so a women must be in your group to request a table in this area; it can be only women or women with their partners/families of adults 18+. EVERYONE IS WELCOME in the rest of the restaurant areas.

• Please let us know if someone of your group can't use stairs.

• It is important that at least 50% +1 of your group is present, to move you to the table.

• Sorry, we don't accept pets anymore.

To Start...

At La Negra we like to share, so we recommend ordering at the center to try different things, between fresh and hot options, we suggest some of our favorites:

Ceviche Bárbaro: Atún fresco con salsa de soya y cítricos, montado sobre un par de tacos dorados de papa hechos al momento
Octopus Carpaccio: Soft and marinated, with a mix of green leaves.
Catch of the day Tiradito: Fresh white fish, our version of tiger’s milk with caribbean pepper, and other secrets.
Baked Panela: natural, with garlic mushrooms or rib eye, handmade corn tortillas and 3 different sauces to make tacos.
Grilled Vegetables: variable combination of wood-fired vegetables with a base of hummus and a flat-bread.

Craft-Burgers

We bake the buns, we grind the meat and make all the sides from scratch: potato wedges, pickles, ketchup and our aioli.

Puedes optar por hamburguesas de res, de atún, de cangrejo de concha suave o cordero; siendo difícil escoger, todas tienen su propia personalidad.

In Tacos We Trust

The best thing about our tacos is that we made our 100% corn tortillas at the moment, with the idea to never get bored of them we have 9 different options, for the carnivores, pescetarians and vegetarians. Everyone has their favorites, including octopus, fish pastor, rib eye, duck confit and mushrooms, but the more popular ones are:

Taco Macho: Jalapeno pepper stuffed with shrimp and cheese, wrapped in bacon.
Pork Belly confit.

Sourdough Pizza

We make them with sourdough and bake them in a traditional Italian oven, thin but still with comforting texture. Always made with fresh ingredients, the favorites are:

Mediterranen: spanish ham, goat cheese, fig, arugula and balsamic
Capriccio: Pepperoni, bacon, mushrooms, black olives and onions.
Bianca: Basil pesto, green apple, goat cheese and pecans.

From Our Bar

Our bar uses 100% natural fresh squeezed juices, home-made syrups, and artisanal distillates for our cocktails, which have been evolving trying to adapt to the current techniques, but always respecting the ancestral knowledge.

We focus on offering beverages that keep you hydrated and facilitate digestion; such as kombucha, ginger beer, infusions and of course craft beer; avoiding soft drinks and products with chemicals & preservatives as much as possible. We have also developed a non-alcoholic cocktail menu for the whole family to enjoy.

The house’s recommendation are Mexican wines and spirits, you will find mezcal, raicilla, gin, vodka and even whiskey from national producers, rich in aromas, textures and flavors. And to accompany your dessert, you can order a coffee, roasted in Bucerias and freshly grounded for your espresso, cortado, cappuccino or latte.

La Negra NYE2026 Dinner & Dancing

Welcome to celebrate and receive the 2026, thanking, enjoying a delicious dinner, dancing and having fun at an intimate party with our closest friends and family!

D I N N E R – For this New Year's celebration, we'll be cooking our entire menu and have all the bar favorites, so you won't miss anything that makes you happy when you come to La Negra.

· Kitchen is gonna be open from 8:00 to 11:00pm. You'll choose your favorites which will be served in 3 courses, starters, main and dessert a la carte.

· Bar is gonna be open from 8:00pm to 2:00am with cocktails, our favorite spirits, craft beer, wine of the season and coffee!

D A N C I N G – In recent years, there are few moments where the dance floor is cleared and we have the chance to share our best dance moves, and this is one of them. DJ SETS: Berna Barranqui · Comet Dan · Hernán Siordia

IMPORTANT NOTES FOR NEW YEAR'S EVE

· This night we will have only one seating, so you can dine peacefully from your reservation time until 11pm.

· Just before midnight, we'll all go upstairs to welcome the New Year 2026, dance, and celebrate. We'll put away the tables outside the restaurant so we can close the door and continue our event privately.

· We want you to be happy and enjoying yourself all night long, so we'll be serving alcoholic drinks one at a time. Please stay hydrated and drink responsibly. We'll stop serving you alcohol if we see you're too drunk.

BOOKING POLICIES

· This event is for adults only (18+)

· If you prefer to avoid Stripe's 10% commission, you can come to make your reservation and pay directly at the restaurant.

· If you reserve and then decide to cancel, the refund is not automatic. You will need to contact us to request a partial refund, valid up to 15 days before the event.
